BEAUTIFUL GELATIN SILVER PRINT OF EINSTEIN BY LOTTE JACOBI, SIGNED BY EINSTEIN.
Jacobi, one of the great portrait photographers of the 20th-century was much admired by Einstein. She disliked the stiff portraiture technique that characterized the photography studio of her time; rather, it was her method to bring the studio to the subject, and she liked to wait until her models were most at ease before taking a photo. This is a classic image of Einstein in his famous "bomber" jacket from the 1938 photo session with Jacobi.
Signed "A. Einstein" on the image (on his hand). Image size: 6x7.5 inches. An outstanding signed photo, handsomely framed.
